Erina Bryant-Toi (Ngāti Kahungunu, Ngā Puhi, Te Whānau a Apanui) brings her experience as a te reo Māori kaiako to her role at Te Kura i Awarua, translating historical manuscripts, and supporting the integration of te reo Māori and tikanga throughout our projects. She will be continuing her masters studies in 2025, furthering her commitment to language revitalisation within our hapū and iwi.

Erina weaves te reo Māori and tikanga into every aspect of her work. Her contributions to manuscript translation help revitalise language and preserve cultural heritage for current and future generations.
